After landing at Kansai International Airport, clear customs and immigration before meeting your transfer to the hotel. Enjoy your first glimpse of Osaka, a city renowned for its modern architecture, vibrant nightlife, and delicious street food.  Take some time to rest or explore nearby attractions like Rinku Town, a waterfront area with shopping and dining options, if time permits. After breakfast, embark on a captivating journey through the cultural and scenic highlights of Nara and Uji. This full-day tour offers a perfect blend of history, nature, and culinary delights, making it an ideal experience for culture enthusiasts and matcha lovers.

Meeting Point:
Start your day at 8:40 AM, meeting your driver and guide at Nipponbashi Exit 2 in the Namba Shinsaibashi area. From here, set off for an unforgettable day of exploration.

Nara Park (1 hour 30 minutes)
Your first stop is Nara Park, a sprawling urban park at the base of Mt. Wakakusa in Nara City. Famous for its freely roaming deer, this park offers a unique chance to interact with these gentle creatures by feeding them crackers. Wander through the picturesque landscape, enjoy the autumn foliage, and relax in one of the quaint tea houses nearby.

Todai-ji Temple (40 minutes – admission not included)
Next, visit the historic Todai-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Japan’s most significant Buddhist complexes. Marvel at the 15-meter-tall bronze Great Buddha statue housed in the Daibutsuden Hall, surrounded by centuries of cultural and spiritual history.

Uji Matcha Street (2 hours)
Continue your journey to Uji, renowned for its rich green tea heritage. Stroll down Byodo-in Omotesando Street, a haven for matcha enthusiasts, featuring treats like matcha ice cream, cakes, and soba noodles. Visit the Byodo-in Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for a glimpse of its stunning architecture and serene surroundings.

Genji-no-Yu Hot Springs (1 hour – admission not included)
Conclude your day at Genji-no-Yu, Uji’s only natural hot spring. Relax and rejuvenate in these therapeutic waters sourced from a depth of 1,111 meters underground. Admire the traditional Japanese design of the onsen and soak in the tranquility before heading back.

Overnight in Osaka.

After breakfast, embark on a swift and comfortable journey to Kyoto via the Shinkansen bullet train, covering 50 km in just about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage, starting with the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, offering breathtaking views of the city. Stroll through the atmospheric Higashiyama District and enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch. 

In the afternoon, visit the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, renowned for its thousands of red torii gates, and explore the historic Gion District, known as Kyoto’s geisha quarter. End your day with a relaxing evening stroll along the Kamogawa River before retiring at the Hotel.

Explore Kyoto at your own pace with a two-day Hop-On Hop-Off pass aboard an open-top double-decker bus. Please note that some buses may not be equipped with air conditioning.

You may also opt for some souvenir shopping or savor a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

Overnight in Kyoto.

After breakfast, head to Kyoto Station and board the Shinkansen. The journey to Tokyo takes about 2.5 hours, and you can enjoy a traditional bento box for lunch on the train. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and explore the area, possibly visiting famous landmarks like Asakusa Temple or the Tokyo Skytree if you're headed to Tokyo. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant and take a leisurely walk through popular districts like Shibuya or Shinjuku.
